Do I need to take 12 units this Spring?

I am currently taking 12 units in college. I received a fee waiver for my tuition and my student loans are being deferred. I am going to register tomorrow. Do I need to continue being a full time student with 12 units in order to receive a fee waiver and keep my student loan deferment? I graduate in May. Please help!
I live in CA.
Or is it 6 units?

No, the fee waiver is good for an entire academic year, which would cover the Spring semester, and it will cover any and all units that you enroll in. It is not mandatory at all that you be a full-time student.

To continue to qualify for an in-school deferment on your loan, you must maintain at least half-time enrollment, which would be a minimum of 6 units at most institutions. Full-time enrollment is not required.

Keep in mind that the amount of Pell you receive, if any, will be reduced if you are not full-time. The award is prorated by how many units you are in.
