   Maybe you have maxed out your loan limit in one category of student loans. But there are other types available. You can borrow up to $20,000 per year for graduate school with Stafford Loans, for example. Some of the loans may require a good credit history, and you can’t be in default on any student loans.

   Check this out with a live customer service representative, and find out what your options are. Private loans are a last resort. The terms vary widely, so be careful if you go that route.
